Chester ISD is excited to share a small calendar adjustment that we know everyone will enjoy. Because we only needed to use one of our built-in weather days this year, we can give that time back to our students. As a result, there will beno school on the following Fridays in May: • May 1, 2026 • May 8, 2026 • May 15, 2026 We are happy to provide a few long weekends after testing is completed. This is a reminder that students are not allowed to have energy drinks on campus or during extracurricular activities.
Students who experience heart palpitations, anxiety, panic attacks, headaches, high blood pressure, or behavior changes during school often have had an energy drink that day or in the last 24 hours.
In the long run energy drinks can cause kidney damage liver damage, and even lead to stroke, heart attack or cardiac arrest. Everyone is at risk of these effects, but children have a higher risk of negative health effects due to their developing bodies and brains. Thank you for helping us keep our students healthy and safe!

We had great school participation for this year's NHS food drive! JH/HS winners were THE SENIORS with 254 items! The elementary winners were PK/KINDER with 210 items! Thank you to everyone that donated this year!
