We are almost done with STAAR! Please see images for details.

Good evening,
Chester ISD will have a two hour delay start time for Friday, April 29. This allows everyone to plan ahead for their morning. If your student has any issues please email Mrs. Dinger or their teacher. We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Bus routes will arrive two hours later than normal, including students who travel to Woodville. Students will be provided a breakfast and lunch.

Last week our UIL teams competed in the UIL Regionals contest. Chester ISD is incredibly proud of our students for having a dedication to their academics! And congratulations to Kaleigh Acrey, who has advanced to state in science! Each of you make Chester so proud!

Polls will not open at Chester ISD today, Thursday, April 27th. Voters may still vote at the Nutrition Center in Woodville.

Due to the storm last night Chester ISD will be closed Thursday, April 27. There is no power currently. We base these decisions first on the safety of students. We do not currently have power. We have to make these decisions with the information we currently have. We will update everyone on the baseball game that is scheduled tonight at a later time.

Last week our Pre-K through 2nd took a field trip to Gator Country. As you can tell, they had a great time! Thank you for the teachers and volunteers that make opportunities like this possible for our students! Also, thanks to the teachers and parent, Shonna Romo, for capturing photos and sending them in to be featured!

Chester ISD is blessed with some INCREDIBLE individuals who work hard to support our students and fellow staff in a variety of ways. That being said, being named Employee of the Year is a great honor bestowed on an individual whose fellow staff members recognize their efforts and contributions to the district. This year’s Employee of the Year is Assistant Principal, Amy Dinger! When asked, the following was said about Mrs. Dinger from some of her fellow district employees:
“Mrs. Dinger has a tough job and always has our kids and the interest of the school at heart. She wants the best for everyone. She’s hardworking and dedicated. Definitely employee of the year.”
“She always puts our kids first and has our backs! Our district is blessed to have her!”
“Mrs. Dinger is truly an amazing person inside and out who cares about the kids and our community. I feel blessed to be able to work with her.”
“Mrs. Dinger has the hardest job on campus: being the bad guy. She carries the weight of some of the most difficult tasks in the district; like attendance and discipline. Yet, she always figures out a way to make others smile and make decisions that are best for the students.”
“Buying popsicles for our elementary kids, organizing and providing meals for staff multiple times a year, and being multiple students' person that they turn to when having a bad day…it's easy to see why Mrs. Dinger is Employee of the Year.”
“Mrs. Dinger is an amazing asset to Chester ISD. She truly loves our students and works hard daily to ensure they have everything needed to be successful in the classroom.”
"Mrs. Dinger always comes in with a great attitude that is contagious to the staff and the students. She is a great role model to all."
“I’ve worked for a few districts, and she’s by far the hardest working administrator I’ve ever had.”
Congratulations Mrs. Dinger! Chester ISD is blessed to have you!!

The Texas High School Coaches Association highlights the work & effort that coaches across Texas put forth for their teams, classrooms, schools, and communities. Yesterday middle school science participated in basketball relays to review balanced and unbalanced forces. Boys shot 3 pointers and girls shot free throws. They had to make the basket before they could come answer their question and rotate players. (The basketball coaches can thank me later 😂) This was a hit!
