Mrs. Thompson has sent all documents and guidelines to class emails on May 10th for students eligible for the the Lamar University Fall 2023 semester! This includes the admissions and enrollment process, application instructions, admission policies and FAQ, the registration request form, the courses available, and the calendar of critical dates. Speaking of critical dates - MAY 31ST - Dual credit applications deadline. ALL applications via applyTexas and course registration request forms to Mrs. Thompson must be submitted by NOON. Any requests to Miss Cassie to submit HS transcript to Lamar via the TREX system must be done by noon, as well. SUBMIT BEFORE THE DEADLINES WHEN POSSIBLE!
If you plan to participate in sports during the 2023-24 school year, you are required to have a sports physical on file with the school. These are done upon entering Junior High, and the first and third years of high school, unless you have a medical issue in between. A medical history form shall accompany each physical examination and shall be signed by both student and a parent or guardian. The cost of the physical will be $20 each. If you do not get a physical here this day, you will be responsible for getting the physical form, going somewhere else to have the physical done and bringing it back to either the high school office or your coach the first day of practice. The Chester Lions Club will be hosting a scholarship fundraiser in the Chester ISD cafeteria tomorrow, May 6th, from 11 AM to 1 PM. They will be selling Brisket and Sausage plates with sides for $10. They are also offering pre-orders for those attending our playoff softball game. There will be a silent auction and raffle drawing. Chester ISD appreciates the Lions Club for providing our students with scholarships to help further their education.
The estimated time of arrival is approximately 3:45 for those on the pre-k through 2nd grade field trip.
